A trauma-informed, multi-lens approach to working with trauma therapeutically, through the Kaleidoscope Trauma Framework™
Online training | October 2026 – March 2027
Course overview
The Advanced Certificate in Therapeutic Trauma Practice is a professional training for practitioners who want to develop confidence and competence in working with trauma as it emerges in the therapeutic space.
This training is delivered as a series of immersive online training days, designed to support accessibility and reflect the realities of contemporary therapeutic practice.
The training places particular emphasis on working within neurodivergence and chronic illness as core lenses within therapeutic practice, alongside an exploration of complex and relational trauma, which is often experienced in interconnected ways.
It considers how trauma is held and expressed across different neurotypes, bodies, and lived experiences, particularly where early relational experiences, ongoing stress, health, and environment shape how trauma presents in the therapeutic room.
Rather than teaching a trauma modality or protocol, the course offers a philosophy-led approach to working with trauma, supporting practitioners to work relationally, ethically, and within scope, particularly where trauma intersects with neurodivergence, chronic illness, identity, and complex relational histories.
At the heart of the training is the Kaleidoscope Trauma Framework™, a multi-lens framework developed from lived experience, practitioner experience, and practitioner research, and informed by biopsychosocial and anti-oppressive perspectives.
Trauma is held as an embodied, lived, relational, and contextual experience, rather than being understood solely through diagnosis or intervention models.
